On October 15, 2020, Governor Murphy signed an executive order that extended the due date for filing the 2019 corporate business tax annual return from October 15, 2020, to November 16, 2020.

At the start of the COVID pandemic, many filers applied for and received an extension until October 15, 2020, to file their federal tax returns. The extension allows these filers an extra month to file the CBT return, which requires federal tax information.
